Meat with Tomato Sauce and Spaghetti

DIRECTIONS:

Rough cut meat into 2-3" chunks. Lamb is the most traditional meat in Greece, but it is being replaced by pork these days. Heat the olive oil in a pot and brown the meat. Add the chopped onion and garlic sautéing until the onions start turning translucent. Add the tomato paste, tomato juice, water, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook on medium heat for about 1 hour. Add additional salt and pepper to taste.

Cook spaghetti according to the package. Drain water. Add scoops of tomato juice from the cooked meat and serve.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 pounds (1 kg) of meat (lamb, pork, or beef)

  • 1/3 cup (100g) olive oil

  • 1 onion

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 2 cups (500g) tomato juice

  • 4 cups (1 liter) of water

  • 1 pound (500gr) spaghetti

  • ½ teaspoon Salt

  • ¼ teaspoon Pepper
